When I was about four or so, my mother's friend would come by the
house and give my brother and I some little gifts to keep us entertained
while she and my mother talked. I remember one time she gave us a box
of raisins and two toys cars, and naturally we thought they went together
somehow. We happily spent the rest of the afternoon outside, running
over the raisins with the toy cars, stuffing the raisins inside, etc.
Isn't it great how kids associate these things? I guess it's just luck
that she didn't give us something like a frog and a small pocket knife!
