The American Correctional Association recently held their
convention. The AP did a story on the event (which ran on wires
on Aug 13), and part of it focussed on the vendors selling goods
to help deal with the ever-increasing tide of prisoners. This
classic line from the story needs wider distribution:
"Business is good," said salesman Ron Smith, who was
selling a sleek black chair meant for restraining the
truly unruly, a cross between a straitjacket on wheels
and a sadomasochist's Barca-lounger.
